Valley Welding Training Program Focuses on Underwater Work
The Refrigeration School and Commercial Divers International have partnered to offer an underwater welding training program in Goodyear.
According to Gus Velez, CDI's chief administrative officer,
“There is a natural partnership there. I mean, surface level welding … [is] essential for bridges and what have you,”highlighting the importance of this skill in various infrastructure projects.
This partnership aims to increase the number of certified workers in the welding industry, which is currently expanding and in need of more workers.
