Boyd Races Way to Scholar Athlete Nomination
Throughout this Friday Night Rivals season, the South Carolina National Guard will recognize exceptional student athletes from participating schools with a plaque presentation prior to each game.
This week’s Friday Night Rivals Scholar Athletes of the Week, presented by The South Carolina National Guard, are Preston Rhodes from Lugoff-Elgin and Jayden Boyd from Westwood.
About Jayden Boyd
Boyd is an individual and team track state champion, all-state in track, and all-region in football. In the community, he is a Kappa League member.
Next year he plans on being a top recruit in football and track and would like to major in business management.
