These fine particles easily enter the lungs and bloodstream, with PM2.5 being the most harmful, approximately 30 times smaller than a human hair, making it impossible for the body to filter naturally.
Instead of just breathing in the air in the smog season in Delhi, you are also breathing in a combination of PM2.5, PM10, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and ozone.
