Top Universities in Canada 2026
According to a new report by Times Higher Education, the top universities in Canada have been ranked, along with their global standings.
The University of Toronto holds the top position, a spot it has maintained since at least 2011. McGill University and the University of British Columbia also hold strong positions in both national and global rankings.

- University of British Columbia: held second place in the 2025 ranking, now third
The 2026 Canada University Rankings features 34 universities in total, with minimal changes in the top 10 compared to the 2025 ranking.
