Pro-Hamas Messages Disrupt Airports in Kelowna and Victoria

On Tuesday, October 14, flights at Kelowna and Victoria airports were delayed due to a cyber security incident.

The incident occurred between 5 p.m. at both Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Victoria International Airport (YYJ), where pro-Hamas messages were displayed on screens and announced over public address systems.

"The YLW team has successfully removed the unauthorized messaging... It has also restored our flight information display screens and are continuing to work on restoring the PA system."

According to a Kelowna Reddit post, the messages were visible for about two minutes and included phrases like "Free Palestine" and curses directed at the U.S.
