Kazakhstan Calls for Collective Action to Revive the Aral Sea and Strengthen Water Security
Kazakhstan has announced the implementation of over 40 environmental projects in the Aral Sea basin, as stated at the second meeting of the Board of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) held on October 10 in Astana.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev, was attended by high-level representatives from Central Asian countries.
The international community expects not only declarations but also actions to preserve the natural resources of the Aral Sea.
