Supreme Court Censures Madras HC Judge
The Supreme Court criticised Justice N Senthilkumar of the Madras High Court for hearing petitions related to the TVK rally stampede in Tamil Nadu without jurisdiction.
A stampede during a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally on September 27 resulted in at least 41 deaths.
The Supreme Court ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident.
The Court also urged a Committee headed by Justice Ajay Rastogi to supervise the investigation.
